9 am to 5 pm; 7 hours Certificate of Attendance, 25 hours Professional Certification
One-day in the classroom, plus a practicum that you do on your own time and at your own pace, earns you a certification attesting to 25 training hours. You’ll learn safe and effective treatment protocols in various reflexology systems, taking your reflexology treatments further. Put these certificate courses towards earning your ASR Reflexology Diploma, or just take them for interest, but either way, you and your clients will benefit. Course descriptions are provided for your Associations.
Like all other reflexology maps, the entire body is represented on the scalp, and can be used to affect general health as well as to treat for certain conditions. Because of their location, these reflexes would be ideal to learn for therapists already working the scalp area, such as in Indian Head Massage, Craniosacral Therapy, and Massage Therapy. However, scalp reflexology can be offered independently as a unique modality and routine with its own particular benefits, including its ‘side-effect’ benefit of improving scalp and hair health. You’ll come away from this compact course with a ‘mini routine’ to share with your clients.
Your 25 hour Scalp Reflexology Certification includes:
7 hours class instruction
14 hours practicum (7 practicum sessions: 7 people X 1 session, with health record keeping)
4 hours independent assignments
Theory of Scalp Reflexology; Body Orientation and Reflex Layout; Scalp Reflexology Map; Anatomy of the Head; Toxin Release; Referral Areas; Techniques for Scalp Reflexology Application; Soothing (Sedative effect) and Stimulating (Vitality Effect) Techniques; Indications and Contraindications; Practicum and Record Keeping Guidelines.
