CARPAL-DIGITAL BODYWORK: TREATING THE HAND

Date TBA - 9am-2:30pm

In this course we focus exclusively on the hand, its intricate anatomy, and how to help pathologies of the hand such as rheumatoid arthritis, carpal tunnel syndrome, and injuries to the hand and fingers, including habitual overuse. We will learn to apply ‘glide and stick’ techniques, vectoring, fascial ‘moulding’, spreading techniques, and more, as we release tension and reduce inflammation in the hand and fingers. This is a wonderful addition to hand reflexology, as the techniques can be blended in the same session. But reflexology is not a pre-requisite. This is an exceptional course for bodywork therapists, massage therapists, and other practitioners who need their hands to make a living. Self-care and mutual hand releases will round out the day. PRE-REQUISITE "B". Register today!

HOW TO MAKE THAI STEM COMPRESSES FOR FEET

Date TBA - 9am-2:30pm

The healing practice of Thai herbal compress therapy dates back nearly 5,000 years in Thailand. An herbal stem, sometimes referred to as a compress or ball, is steamed to release the healing properties of the herbs contained within, when pressed against or along specific body parts…in our case, the feet. We will experiment with creating our own herbal ‘recipes’, marrying Thai tradition with modern knowledge, and learn different ways to tie and prepare the stems for use. We will then use our stems in a mini-treatment created just for this class.  OPEN ENROLLMENT. Register today!

READING THE FEET (FULL TEXTBOOK)

Date TBA - 9am-2:30pm

As reflexology therapists, we are consistently observing, handling and palpating the feet. A valuable adjunct to foot reflexology, foot reading can help you get a bigger picture of your clients’ lifestyles, characteristics, and potential health cautions. By using foot reading methods to identify vulnerable areas of energy congestion or imbalance in the reflexes, you’ll be better equipped to fine-tune your sessions for successful client outcomes in all areas of health. PRE-REQUISITE "B". Register today!

TOWEL WRAP MASSAGE: A UNIQUE ADDITION TO ANY FOOT SESSION

Date TBA - 9:00am - 2:30pm

Using dry towels, we’ll learn a foot massage routine applying firm pressure, friction, and passive foot movements to use at the beginning and end of your sessions—once after foot washing to transition to the reflexology routine, and the other to transition from the finishing oil massage to a series of invigorating oil-removing towel techniques. No reflexology experience necessary, since the towel wrap massage can be a relaxation tool all by itself. OPEN ENROLLMENT. Register today!

FINISHING FOOT MASSAGE TO ENERGIZE

Date TBA - 9am-2:30pm

Is your client a little too relaxed and you feel guilty getting them up off the table? Help your clients bounce up after a session, ready to tackle the world! Energizing techniques invigorate while maintaining the benefits of relaxation. Your clients will appreciate that extra sense of get-up-and-go that will have them accomplishing their daily goals, and getting a good night’s sleep…the perfect combo! Stimulate, invigorate and energize with these superstar bring-‘em-back-for-more finishing moves. OPEN ENROLLMENT. Register today!

CHAKRA REFLEXOLOGY

Date TBA - 9am-2:30pm

Work on the chakras and their related health characteristics through their corresponding reflexes on the feet. You will learn the chakra reflex locations, and several techniques to clear, open and balance the chakra system. Chakra reflexes can be worked with direct pressure, or in the field surrounding the chakra reflex, making this an excellent reflexology pairing for those who use therapeutic touch or reiki healing energies. Excellent for overall energy clearing, support for physical ailments, and as an additional tool to help balance mental health symptoms of depression and anxiety. OPEN ENROLLMENT. Register today!

EAR BEADS: 3 POWER POINTS AND ADDICTION AID

Date TBA - 9:00am-2:30pm

Ear reflexology, auricular reflexology or auricular therapy is the practice of stimulating specific reflex areas on the ears to elicit the body’s self-corrective healing mechanisms.

Ear reflexology can be used as a primary therapy, or can be used in conjunction with other therapies. It is complementary, holistic, preventative, and effective. In this workshop, we will learn the basic locations of the body parts on the ear reflex map, focusing primarily on using ear beads on 3 power points and 5 addiction points. OPEN ENROLLMENT. Register today!

TEETH REFLEXOLOGY & ACCESS ROUTES

Date TBA - 9am-2:30pm

How would you work reflexes in the teeth? You don’t! Instead, you’ll access reflexes in the teeth—that represent other body organs, glands and parts—through an entirely different body area. Seem complicated? Yup! But it’s super cool! We will learn what each tooth represents, and how to work that reflex system through other reflex systems, creating a ‘layered’ form of reflexology treatment. It’ll also help you understand why healthy teeth and gums are so important to the rest of your health, and what cavities, abscesses, and orthodontics may tell you about conditions in your body. PRE-REQUISITE "A", Register today!

ESSENTIAL OILS: 3 WAYS TO BOOST YOUR SESSION

Date TBA - 9am-2:30pm

Heard all the hype but still don’t know how to use them? Or are you an oil enthusiast who would love another ‘essential’ perspective to boost the effectiveness of your sessions? Come play with us on this day of inhaling, applying, and absorbing good scents. Minimalist rules apply as we see how far we can go with three oils, three ways. OPEN ENROLLMENT. Register today!

9 am to 5 pm; 7 hours Certificate of Attendance, 25 hours Professional Certification
Tuition: $195
Location: Fredericton, NB

One-day in the classroom, plus a practicum that you do on your own time and at your own pace, earns you a certification attesting to 25 training hours. You’ll learn safe and effective treatment protocols in various reflexology systems, taking your reflexology treatments further. Put these certificate courses towards earning your ASR Reflexology Diploma, or just take them for interest, but either way, you and your clients will benefit.
